This month has been a little cray. I feel like January and February were pretty open and we had a lot of free time. Every weekend in March we have been doing something. But it has been fun! And thank you, Utah weather, for being beautiful and not snowy. Sun and blossoms are what I'm all about :)
We kicked off the month by doing our favorite thing---eating! It was national pancake day, so of course we went to IHOP and got free pancakes. The hour wait was totally worth it. Going with friends made it better too. We were so hungry by the end that we just ended up getting more food. OH WELL.
Yes, this is what you think it is. THE ROLLLLERRR DERBY. I didn't even know that they had a roller derby here until one of my hygiene instructors told us she does it! My friend Hannah's sister plays on one of the teams and they are crazy. If you haven't been, it's worth seeing once.
Alex's parents came for a last minute trip to Utah so we decided to go to Sundance! I was glad we got to see the last of the snow in the mountains. It was breathtaking there. Sundance is one of my favorite spots in all of Utah. I would totally live there. We walked around, shopped, then went to the most amazing restaurant ever---The Foundry grill. Best freaking fries I have ever had. They put a lot of yummies in the fries which made it better. And their margarita pizza was also amazing, cooked on a wood stove. We're definitely going back. Such a magical weekend.
We went to Keys on Main in SLC with some friends. This was my third time going, and just as fun as the first! These pianists are INCREDIBLE and will play anything you tell them to. I'm in shock every time the girl busts out "Thrift Shop" and "Look at Me Now" on the piano. Her rap skills amaze. She's my b-word.
Alright, I have to talk about the Bachelor for a minute since it was such a big part of my life these last few months! Our friends, the Nickels, had a Bachelor party for the finale and it was so much fun! Any excuse to eat fondue and watch annoying girls cry over the same guy. So great. But how obvious was the ending? Obvi Whitney was going to win. Besides her voice, I was rooting for her the whole time. This next season is going to be the worrrst though. Britt annoys me, but I like Kaitlyn. Hopefully the guys pick her. Such a weird situation.
This was my favorite thing to do all month! We cleaned up our garden! The bushes, trees, leaves, and plants were getting out of control. Now that we have our own house, we can do whatever the heck we want. So we took a trip to Lowe's like big kids and got all of our garden tools! The last two pics are the before and after. There's nothing like making a cute garden in the springtime! We also planted some herbs and are going to start a salsa garden soon :)
Spring=bridal showers. I went to two showers back-to-back and they were both so much fun. I just love love! Makes me want to get married again. Congrats to my girls Lindsey and Alex! Such a fun time. This was our toilet paper wedding dress creation. I have to say, it looks pretty dang good!
Springtime is my favorite because BLOSSOMS EVERYWHERE! Poppcorn popping off these apriocot trees is so lovely. I am taking all of the spring walks I can until my next favorite season comes. Fall. Haha.
